What if satan created the world

If God is good and can do only good but Satan is evil, then who created Satan? A Chatty Snake The Bible opens with the story of creation, in which God speaks the universe into existence. God created Satan good.

Some created angels rebelled against God. On two occasions, the New Testament speaks of a time when angels turned on God and fell into wickedness: God did not spare [the] angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment. You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.

A powerful created being could itself create. Humans are capable of creation - though not of creating life.

To be precise, humans do not create , if by "create" we agree that it means to make something from nothing. We make new things so to speak from matter that has already been created. For example, we make a table from pieces of wood. We make children from the union of sex cells. And so forth.

A heresy such as that the devil created the world would be so inconsistent with the Book of Genesis as to deny the scripture in its entirety. This would require an entirely new theology, including why the devil would create a world in which there is also much good. The Demiurge is a different matter - the Demiurge may be flawed, even evil, but he is substantially consistent with the OT and his existence and his creation of the world were capable of being believed. I disagree that its a definite no and should be further investigated. Take into consideration that there are two distinct creation stories in Genesis. So that passage must be referring to the spirit-king who was ruling Tyre - Satan. So we conclude that Satan's creation and fall must have happened between the first two verses of Genesis 1.

His fall is not described there because the Bible was written for man and therefore begins with man's history.

The word translated "was" in Genesis "And the earth was without form and void" is the Hebrew word "hayah" , which should actually have been translated as "became" - and it has been translated as "became" in the following verses: "man became hayah a living soul" Gen. She wasn't always a pillar of salt.

She became one. In the same way, the earth became without form and void. Satan was cast down from "the third heaven" the immediate presence of God- 2 Cor. But we are told in Ephesians that Satan and his demons still dwell "in the heavenlies ". The first heaven is the universe that we see with our eyes Psa. The "heavenlies" that Satan and his demons dwell in must therefore be the second heaven, which we cannot see.

One day he will be cast down from there to the earth Rev. This may perhaps be why the Lord did not say, "It is good" on the second day of the six days in Genesis 1 , when the heavens were separated - because Satan was dwelling in the second heaven. Two different words are used in Genesis 1 in relation to the creation and the re-making of the earth. The word used in Genesis is "bara" Hebrew for "created". The word used in Genesis is "asah" Hebrew for "made". Creation refers to that which was created from nothing.

The word "made" refers to what was made from something that was already existing. The fishes and birds were created v. Man's body was made but his soul was created. Since every word of God is inspired, there must have been a very good reason why the Holy Spirit has used two different words in Genesis 1.

The woman was put under the man Gen , and the man, who wanted to be equal to or greater than God would die and go back into the earth that was cursed from that moment Gen It might not make sense that God would go along with such a dishonest transaction of authority, but take for example another famous transfer of authority… Jacob and Esau were twins, but Esau was born just seconds before Jacob, which made Esau the senior to Jacob.

This is similar to Satan and Adam in that Satan started under Adam, and then the position switched where Satan was over him by lying and deceiving. Jacob was under Esau but offered Esau a little bit of food for his birthright when he was hungry Gen Isaac was fooled and blessed Jacob, making him lord over all his brothers.

Once again, Jacob, like Satan, lied and deceived for power. Sound familiar? Some people associate Jeremiah with Satan in a certain gap theory…. Lucifer, who is widely believed to be Satan, was created by God.

He was perfect in wisdom, much like the snake was the wisest of the animals in Eden. The original power and authority that God gave him must have been a lot. No one knows what triggered his fall.
