Where is giada at home taped
I was really nervous about doing my own hair and makeup. I even debated whether to do the entire show in my reading glasses at one point. But luckily, my friend and makeup artist, Julie, gave me a virtual tutorial and showed me a few tricks, so fingers crossed it turned out okay!
This show was truly a family project. It was just me, Jade, my boyfriend Shane, and occasionally my team member Natasha who would drop off groceries and supplies. We all had our specific duties — much to her excitement, Jade was on dish duty, which she eventually embraced enough to make up a name for one of her dish gloves Meredith!
She also was the resident artist, and drew all of the artwork we used for the show! Shane was the camera man. He would also set up the lighting and tripods in the morning while I would get my hair and makeup ready.
Natasha was the one running out to grab groceries, and would sometimes come help when we needed an extra pair of hands to hold up a light — or to film some behind the scenes footage! We shot the entire show using 4 iPhones. No professional cameras this time around! We had a total of 4 iPhones and we placed them all around the kitchen. One was on a flexible tripod angled down on my cutting board so you could see all the food being chopped- but sometimes lived in the fridge for shots of me grabbing ingredients.
We shot the wider shots of the kitchen by mounting two iPhones on small suction mounts- one to a cabinet and another to a wall. And lastly, the fourth camera was the one operated by Shane. He used this stabilizer tool that came in really handy — it created these miraculously steady shots, even when he was running backwards down the street trying to film Jade and I riding our bikes!
The recipes… and ingredients changed a lot depending on what we could find in the grocery store. Much like the rest of the country, we had a hard time finding ingredients. We had to change a lot depending on what we could find at the grocery store… for example, chicken breasts were nowhere to be found, so we used thighs!
Finding eggs for the frittata in the first episode was a struggle, too — we looked for them for over a week. And yeast, well, that was out of stock everywhere… luckily, my neighbor had some and lent it to me.
Speaking of burning things… I did that. A few times, actually. With so much to focus on and so many moving pieces happening, it was all too easy to forget about something in the oven and move on to the next thing. For instance, I had a loaf of banana bread in the oven and when we shot the next dish, I totally forget about it. No one's ever called Giada De Laurentiis soft- spoken.
Food Network's resident Italian expert is pretty vocal on and off her show — so much so that it sort of feels like we know everything about her. Breakfast: Chia Seed Pudding. Morning Snack: Kale Juice. Afternoon Snack: Crispy Chickpeas. Dinner: Salmon with Lemon, Capers and Rosemary. Instead, the source reports that Giada refuses to actually eat any of the food she prepares on her show. While I am not insinuating that Giada has an eating disorder , the act of chewing and spitting out one's food is actually an eating disorder behavior that a number of my patients admit to engaging in.
Lucini Extra-Virgin Olive Oil There is olive oil in the majority of recipes in the book, and this basic olive oil can be used for all of them. Whether cooking, raw in dressings, or a drizzling to finish, use Lucini—it's that good. Anybody who likes watching a chef prepare a delicious meal on TV is probably familiar with Giada De Laurentiis. This Food Network star has won tons of fans with her authentic Italian food and warm personality. But those aren't the only reasons why she's become America's favorite Italian chef.

They utilized the expertise of architects and interior designers to birth this amazing contemporary home. One of the first things that strikes us about this incredible house is just how clean and modern it is.
With white walls, light wooden floors, industrial-style furnishings, and an open-plan layout, it looks as though this house was the perfect place for the couple to get their creative juices flowing.
Incredibly, this large living space has everything they could possibly want in one room. At the front, they have a formal seating area or reading nook. In the middle, they have a huge dining table. At the back, they have their couches.
After all, she cooks up a storm in the kitchen every single week. It seems as though this creativity does not end when she leaves the kitchen, though. As you can see from her former home, the walls were covered in vivid and bright pieces of artwork that added a little something to the aesthetic.
In fact, Giada seems pretty proud of the art that she has chosen for this part of the living room. We can see why! While they were together, Giada and Todd loved to entertain. Because of this, they made sure that they had an outside area worthy of inviting their friends around. Of course, Giada just had to have a cooking area, and the giant grill was ready and raring to be fired up at the push of a button.
Couple that with the cabinets and the worktop, she could rustle up for a storm while her friends and family lounged on the couches, or warmed themselves up by the fire pit. Oozing modernity and simplicity, this kitchen had everything Giada needed to whip up something special for her husband and their daughter.
With stark white flooring, countertops, and upper cabinets, they perfectly juxtaposed the dark wood of the lower cabinets, as well as the stools around the island and breakfast bar. There was definitely no shortage of space in this kitchen. When this happens, she knows that she just needs to get herself out of bed and jot down the recipes that are buzzing around in her brain.
While living with her then-husband in this incredible beach house, she had her very own office to enjoy. This neutral space had everything she could possibly need if she wanted to browse the internet, or simply pore over some of the new recipe books that have come her way. Located just above the waves, the couple were able to open up the giant doors within their bedroom to the sky outside.
On days like this one, they could take in the incredible sunset and fall asleep with the image of a palm tree in their minds. This huge master bedroom had everything the couple could possibly want — including a giant flat-screen television on the wall in front of them. They had created their very own terrace above the waves and created a beautiful space for them to either have dinner or just have drinks with their friends.
The best part? Although they wanted to raise their daughter as a family, they needed their own spaces to live their own lives.
